Joupiska - Small slope big benefits
Jouppilanvuori rises 118 meters above sea level, and the slopes of Joupiska offer winter experiences for skiers of all ages. Although the height difference is not dizzying, the mountain top offers a far-reaching view – and on dark evenings, the city lights add a special atmosphere to the slopes. Joupiska has a practise slope, family slope, alpine slope, two Joupiska Parks, Mini and Grande and big jump line.
- Lots of runs, lots of learning – thanks to the short lift rides, the runs follow each other quickly, and your skills develop rapidly.
- A great place to train – an excellent environment for learning and improving your skills before moving on to larger centers.
- Good visibility – most slopes offer excellent views of the entire run, so parents can comfortably watch their children skiing from below.
- Family-friendly – suitable for all ages, and the best moments are created when the whole family rides together.
- Easy and safe – the compact slope area makes moving around easy and safe, even for the youngest members of the family.
- Convenient location – Joupiska is located close to the center of Seinäjoki, so you can get to the slopes quickly without having to travel far.
Buy tickets already from home and walk straight to gates.
To purchase a lift ticket online, you need a SnowCard smart card and its unique serial number. The validity period of your ticket starts only when it is first scanned at the lift gate. Unused tickets remain on the card until activated. Read more about the SnowCard smart card here.
Introducing slopes
Practice slope
The practice slope is for beginners of all ages. After learning the basic skills (turning, braking), it is recommended to make room for the next group of learners and move on to learning how to use the T-bar lift on larger slopes. The practice slope has a free rope lift.

"On a rope lift, you also get to practice controlling your equipment when going uphill.
It's a much more effective than standing still on a carpet lift."
– Viivi, ski instructor
Family slope
Family slope is located on the left side of the anchor lift line. The upper part of the slope is slightly steeper, but it is ideal for skiers who have mastered the basics. Excellent for snowboarders, with a gentle slope for practicing turns.

Alpine slope
Despite its name, the ski slope is open to everyone when SHS Alppi is not training or competing. This slightly steeper slope is a good place to practice turns and test your edge grip. The ski slope has a button lift.

Joupiska Park
New for the 2025-2026 season, we are building two Joupiska Parks – Mini and Grande. Mini is easier and located right on the left edge of the slope. Grande is located in the middle of the slope, next to the large jump line, on the right side of the anchor lifts. The Grande sets are larger and more challenging. Both Mini and Grande are open to everyone. Remember to familiarize yourself with the performance areas before skiing and follow the Park SMART guidelines.

Big jump line
The big jump line challenges skiers to perform the most daring tricks. Please note that this line is not intended for skiing through. There is a high risk of injury, as jumpers cannot see what is happening on the landing.
